Always been my view that this was a better plan than the double. Gives you the option of retaining your original stake and doing the Festival race with the winnings.

Yep, worked out well at the odds.
Looks like it’s the BANC though and fair enough, but having a little on the NHC I’m happy with as a cover in case of a mind change.
