Do we think JE could be more of a chasing type for the future ? If so then I doubt they'll be pushing him too much today. The second fav has some half decent form in the book behind Jazzy Matty and Byker . He's far more experienced and has already had a run this season.

"This gelding has the class to match his pedigree and he falls into the ‘could be anything’ category. "Only a four-year-old, he has the pace to compete in bumpers, and could even be Champion Bumper standard, but with such a nimble, quick leap in him, he could make hay in the two-mile hurdle division."

I listened to the cheltmental video last night which was very good btw really enjoyed it. He made a good point that JE is to be in the picture at all he really ought to be beating The Lovely Man.

Beating The Lovely Man today would be a big step in the right direction. As I said before, TLM ran really well on Soft ground behind both Jazzy Matty and Byker in two races last season and that turned out to be Cheltenham Festival winning form with those two filling the first two places in the Fred Winter Hurdle. It won't be easy.

Michael Looby has just tweeted the following about JE (in response to a question from Andrew Blair-White) "He was very good in all he did, he was very sharp and professional, jumped well travelled well and quickened away, I'd be shocked if he was beaten as it looks weak." He's an excellent judge of PTP horses, so sounds like a good one, at least for today.
