At the time I wrote the Bailey duo were trading shorter on the exchange and a sea of blue on oddschecker and the irish 2 were being pushed out slightly, looks all very even atm on there, fingers crossed the goffer can get the job done would be my biggest winner on the day as was already on at 25s and then again 12s when paul put him up, I have traded out but still a free bet effective now for me to win 110pts

Yeah sorry I actually wrote a longer post with more context and bored myself in the process and just stuck to the facts which looks much more passive aggressive than I'd aimed for

You've been here years though so I'm sure no offense was taken haha

I think The Goffer is a bit of a wise-guy horse (not a dig at all, I've seen him tipped on a lot of previews) and that means he's been shorter than he should be, SINCE the Naiad really.... if Spectre hadn't crashed him in to fav, he'd have been double figures but steadily come in (like the Bailey pair) ....

Late money will be interesting tomorrow.... especially with a JP horse so high up....

Haha no problem mate no offence taken,

I think who the late money tomorrow come for could be depending on results of supreme and arkle, if mullins has won the supreme and arkle then his horse could end up coming in significantly, on the flip side elliott could have won both the first 2 and then we'd see the goffer come into clear fav

            • Davy gave a nice mention to The Goffer at the preview last night. Said he should have came at least second last year!

              • How concerned should we be with this ground for TG?

I would say it's not ideal, but can say that for a fair few of them, throughout the day, IMO.

I’m thinking he will struggle to get home well enough

My thoughts too, although he has seen plenty of support over these past 2 hours. He's only 7, so i'm hoping he has strengthened up a bit and is able to finish off a bit more strongly. You feel they will have to sit tight and try and pick their way through, rather than race wide like last year

                      • Thought about cashout myself but then the support came and I looked at the charity race the last time run on Heavy where he powered home, very powerful backend on him.

Not sure you can hangout the back in this ground, which is where all of mine found themselves

                            • Ran well to be fair... ground looked too heavy for him to handle. Travelled strong but emptied quickly.
