BANC looks less competitive, but the trip is an unknown.
it will depend on the ground…
    Thanks for the update.

    What would you prefer?

He has to go Turners. With the uncertainty about rainfall during the week he can't risk going unknown BANC distance and then it pissing down on the day like it did last year. He'd look a fool.

        Turners.
Untried over further and can bowl along in front over 2m4f, knowing that he’s done it before.
(plus I only have a ticket for the Thursday…)

Send an email to PN telling him the same and get the other 2999 members to follow suit. From what I've seen of him he needs to grab that rail as well to show his best. Seems to really help him.

Yeah. When he lost at Newbury to Sebastopol, there were other excuses (I believe) but he kept going left towards the rail.

Cobden setting the fractions, I think he’ll run a big race.

Daryl Jacob NAPs James Du Berlais in the Turners for day 3 on the Sporting Life preview night. Clearly towing the party line, but at least seems to confirm he goes here.

He didn’t say so, but it was certainly implied. Paul is surely on Appreciate It too, which would make sense.

Quite shocked at that... pleased though!

Few my JDB slips have just done the undertaker..

They might wanna set him off now if he’s to have a chance

James de Berlais in the new Journey with Me and American Mike for me, was convinced he'd be heading to the BANC.

Also Hendo's revelation that Balco Coastal runs here and not in the Plate has hurt, he acknowledges the horse has come on plenty since Sandown and is well ahead of his mark but he seems intent on taking on Mighty Potter.
Just like Mister Coffey avoiding the Kim Muir in favour of the taking on the G1 horse in the G2 NH Chase, GDM.
                        He must like place money.

                        All pocket talk of course...

I think he'll go with a chance. I have to draw a line under his run at the DRF. I think he'll set the fractions in the Turners, which he was unable to do at the DRF because Gaillard done this and JDB was almost restrained and taken back, and he didn't like it, plus made a fair error at the 2nd fence. Willie won't mind the pace he sets as it should also aid Appreciate Its chances too, but also JDB ran freely on debut and yet it was a great performance from him. IF he's allowed to go and do the same again at the festival in a race nearly 1 1/2f shorter than the DRF race I do think he'll go very close.

I really hope they send him out to the front and he goes hard enough.

On all known form it'd be a bit of a shock to see James Du Berlais feature in this race...

I'm quite heavily invested but that pre chase debut 'any race' and followed up afterwards but I've been disappointed.

I think he has essentially just not lived up to the 'hype'.... which he may well do at some point, but backing him now is a bit of a stretch and can see why some would just have no interest in him at all for grade 1's

He hasn't a hope In hell if he jumps anything like as bad as he did at the DRF

I hope I'm wrong as I backed him at the start of the season without cashout but he looked a bit small and didn't attack his fences at all

This is where I'm at with him.

Although I doubled down NRNB in the BANC pre Dublin so I'm happy enough to be getting my money back there to be honest
