He's not qualified for the NHC so absolutely no chance he's going to go there now, given he has no entries and we are only 3 weeks away from the festival.

      Gerri Colombe
      Brown Advisory Novices' Chase, 5-2
He's done nothing wrong and we always knew he'd make a smashing chaser. He jumps great and you'd have to love the way he won at Sandown. I'm not sure the ground is as important to him as people seem to think, especially over three miles. He'll be fine on better ground over that longer trip.

Zero chance he goes there. The fact he's just too good isn't really fact, but not being qualified, is.

Not only is Gerri not qualified, he was scratched from the latest round of entries for the NHC

I think Gerri Colombe is at current prices, the nap of the week.

The Real Whacker and Thyme Hill aren't going to be beating him.

Love him too, and agree, looking at the opposition he's a really strong bet.

The only way that changes is dependant on what Willie does with Sir Gerhard, I guess.

Agreed. I've not backed him properly since a small outlay at 33's. I was hoping he might drift in the build up as he has a profile "to take on" i.e. just does enough etc.

                  I sort of agree.
But the proximity and level of horses he's beaten in his graded races is not sexy enough for a nap.
Nor is the likelihood he'll be off the bridle 2 out.

Skeltons mare is the one giving me a a little niggly doubt!

                      If it’s soft, she’s a major player

Same here. Made the decision to cover last night NRNB as if its soft she will have a great chance and go off a fair bit shorter than she is now. I get the feeling if its not soft she more than likely won't go so feels like a no brainer.

Also agree, there is nothing in the race that will be on his level imo. Looks like it might be a 7/8 runner race too.

Never bothered me this with staying chasers, I almost think it’s a negative you don’t see them off the bridle before they tackle a big race, I want to know if they fancy a battle…

I am sexy enough to nap anything and make it sexy though.

If I didn't buzz off Appreciate It so much, I'd say Mighty Potter falls into a similar category in the Turners

Nap of the Festival!!!! Maybe he will beat The Real Whacker and Thyme Hill, but I expect he'll still be beaten, Willie will see to that.

He's decent, and he has the sexy string of 1's after his name. But what has he beaten? Yes, he can only beat what's in front of him, but I'd take half the market to beat what he's beaten just as well. I also don't like that Gordon has said all along he needs soft ground because he hits it so hard, but now all of a sudden he doesn't if it's over three miles. Surely he hits the ground hard for longer!

I think he needs a soft ground Festival to win it, and even then I'd regard the Devilscoachman and Galia des Liteaux as real dangers and extraordinarily good value, and they're regarded as rags.

In my opinion his price is just horrible and he's far from nap material.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
