      ….and Codd is no help but does think American Mike would’ve won the Nat Lacy;

Jamie reveals his number one bumper contender, his Festival favourite to oppose and a 66-1 Grand National contender to note.

        Ho My Lord....

Mullins said: “He got his confidence back quickly after his fall at Christmas. He jumped high over the first few but then came down and started to hurdle.
“The further he was going, the better he was going and I’d imagine we’ll go out in trip.

“He’s in the Ballymore (at Cheltenham) and that would look a possible target. He’s earmarked for that, I think he has enough ability to go for it and he showed today that he jumped well enough.”

          Another FFS.

There should be a separate Mullins-only novice hurdle for all his runners at Cheltenham.

HML didn't beat much but he was also ridiculously backed in the first race where he fell, Deep Cave won, so it's difficult to say where he'd place in the pecking order. However, given his inexperience, not in a hurry to put money down just yet.

Elliott not sure on route for American Mike presently, but says he's not sure that he wants to stretch him to 3m. Scoped clean but had a good blow after a pleasing Navan effort apparently.

Seems to imply Ballymore is favourite? Who knows though; might sneak him out for a fourth run and onto the Pipe!

He knows he has already got the winner in Three Card Brag

He isn't going to win a grade 1 at Cheltenham and they should leave him for the Aintree or Punchestown 3m grade 1.

                  Up the Good Land!

Is Kevin Blake still good now, on stuff?

used to love him on the FFP - but not listened to him since?

Still incredibly well thought of I'd assume?

Well thought and still a good listen but you'd not want to be in a rush to back his tips much these days. Must have used up all his cosmic energy on that 890/1 treble.

Hes a little bit more establishment these days and imo not as playful as the FFP glory days but still a worth hearing. Always fun when he goes awkwardly silent on the couple of times Calvin has gone after FFP's fake listener numbers

Did him and Emmet Kennedy fall out?

I'm a bit annoyed at myself for not knowing.... but also liken it to Gen Z trying to tell me about Machine Gun Kelly or Kim Kardashian ... when I just don't care regardless

Don't know what that treble is, FWIW I think Kevin Blake is fantastic - I hope he's a lurker

He had a treble on itv 2 years back of TMSG, Mrs Milner and Mount Ida.

He tipped up a big treble at the 2021 festival on itv.

no one really know re Kennedy. One day a lot of the regulars like Blake, Keenan etc stopped appearing on it. A little while after Attheraces dropped their sponsorship amid a load of evidence that he was buying fake listens to get it up the chart (like something mad like 80% of its listeners were from Azerbaijan lol). I haven't listened in ages cos it's a mess now - it's like 3 days long and mostly Kennedy on some weird diatribe. He seems to mostly be the source of ridicule now.

All the old regs are on other pods, all still good (love the Delargy and Ruby one from Paddy Power. Dunno if the tips are good, but you just feel wiser for listening. And really enjoy Blake vs Calvin on Weighed In, they're a good contrast that works) but none quite have that lightning in a bottle gonzo magic of when FFP was good

I just assumed FF podcast was a stepping stone to a better gig a la Rory D going to Paddy Power; Blake to Betfair; etc.

Didn't know there was any behind the scenes drama although very difficult to keep listening to Emmett Kennedy for any length of time, the man loves to laugh at his own (shit) jokes too much - I'm probably going a bit 'pot kettle' there actually .

Still find it useful at times whenever Denis O'Regan is on these days, that thick Irish brogue does wonders getting me to sleep.

Looks like Hunters Yarn and Diverge have been scratched from the Ballymore today. Think they were left in previously although indications from Mullins were that they were Supreme bound.
