Willies comments on his ballymore contenders are fascinating. We've all seen that IEP is probably the most impressive yet I've never got the feeling from the trainer that he rates him as his No1. His most recent comments are again the same. In my opinion he seems to have Gaelic Warrior as his most rated 2 and a half novice when we haven't really seen much from him tbh. By far looking forward to the ballymore for all these kinds of reasons.
I think I'm going to chance the 40/1 for Absolute Notions here....
Gordon Elliott - I thought he ran really well at the Dublin Racing Festival. The penny dropped with him from the second-last home. Barry Connell’s horse that beat him seems very well fancied for the Ballymore, but this fella was right up his tail and he’s a much bigger price. He’ll have the option of the Ballymore or the Albert Bartlett, but right now I’d say the Ballymore is more likely.
He's only 16/1 everywhere else, Unibet are just dangling 40s .... and given how much I do like Good Land - he was only 1.5L behind at the finish in the DRF in the Grade 1, and that would put him 'in the mix' so 40s is worth 1 pt e/w in my opinion.

Completely agree Kev. I think he's a solid bet. I had one massive concern with him initially; that he was doing his best work at the end of a 2m6f race and that the AB would suit far better. But... this Ballymore is going to be run at a pace. Nicholls has confirmed Hermes Allen will be ridden prominently as usual. There's no way Champ Kiley isn't ridden to the fore either. Good Land seems to enjoy making his own running too. There'll be no shortage of pace here and it could really set up for something staying on ... and Absolute Notions fits that bill perfectly.

Yep, but he's name dropped it as the most likely destination and at 40/1 I'll chance it, as 1.5L behind Good Land in a G1 at the DRF is decent enough IMO

Not like he's my only dart though
True, which is exactly where I was with West Cork a week ago...

Agree Kev. Just had a dabble myself. Pathetic amount allowed on with unibet but 33/1 is too good to pass up
Gaelic Warrior has had a back operation to try and help his jumping... I assume that it was minor and has no impact on his Cheltenham attendance. Doesn't seem ideal so close to the big week though.
Just for context, the actual quote is - "a little job done on his back" doesn't sound like anything major and tee it with quotes from sporting life today and the exchange price, it's seems fine
