Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • I noticed Hollow Games has had a wind op since his last run.

    • Effernock Fizz is going to drive Dysart Dynamo mad up the front. Could be a repeat of the Footpad Arkle except there are two contenders to pick them off late.

      • I'm surprised how short Saint Roi is in comparison to the 3 at the head of the market. Does anyone think he's got a right chance in this? I was considering covering him as have a great position on the front 3 but feel like I'll be giving too much away when he's single figures. Hopefully he drifts a good bit.

I think he's been that horse everyone was chipping away at ew, trying to steal the 'value' and hes shortened from that. imo I can't see him winning and wouldnt be for me, but understand those with books who might want to cover.

I don't have a full book but have El Fab 33/1, Jonbon 12/1 and DD at 20/1 - all win only. Covered Hollow Games each way when I thought it might be a small field at 50/1.

Saint Roi is only 9/1 on the exchanges and that's worrying me. That surely gets pushed out a good bit before race time, doesn't it? The more I think about it, the more I'm going to have to cover him in some form.

            • Popular horse for an each way I imagine based on the idea that he picks one of them off on the run in.

I was going to cover e/w but a place pays odds on and I don't think it's that certain it happens so going to leave him alone

He's won a County Hurdle on the bit and finished 4th beaten just over 7 lengths in a Champion Hurdle on just 2 visits to the course......

He was the best of them over hurdles with good festival form and is a G1 winning novice chaser

You'll get double figures on the exchange though between now and the off?

                    • The rain falling currently has to be a negative for Dysart given his running style - Big price though!

                      • El Fab smashed into favouritism. Jonbon could hit 2/1 at this rate

You’d think that. But looking back at his form, he’s performed brilliantly on soft. Granted, not against this sort of opposition, but I wonder if it takes more out of others trying to keep tabs on him.

I really think he'll be fine on the ground and Soft Cheltenham is probably Good/Soft Ireland.

He's one I think I'll top up on today a bit as I'm also thinking he could get away in front if he jumps for fun with the other 4/5 making errors in behind or giving him too much leeway.

                              • Good point Lobo's re the ground and Willie alluded to that yesterday to Nick Luck. While we know for sure after the first, hope we get those valuable Simon Rowland updates almost immediately post race, I doubt this is very soft. Should be fine for Irish horses, just what they're used to.
