Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Banbridge is 12/1 NRNB with Unibet.

I'd seen and taken 10s with 365 before.

    Obvious switch

Must be a good chance he comes here now as he'll not get home on Soft over 2 1/2 at Cheltenham.

      • I am quietly confident in Dysart for this. Trip and track will suit his style even though I think he could develop into a Ryanair horse (yeah yeah Un De Sceaux 2.0). Danny being booked would be outstanding for obvious reasons. I think El Fabiolo's jumping has been ordinary whereas Dysart jumps fences very well. I think Jonbon has been campaigned for the wrong race all year and should be running on the Thursday.

Im going the other way. Fairly confident he'll cut his own throat and will be easily picked up. He couldn't shake off Jonbon in the Supreme and DJ kept tabs on him all the way at the DRF. See know reason to think either can't sit off him and just go past.

Shorter trip, tighter track and he jumped hurdles poorly but is magic at fences. All opinion but think he's best suited to spoil things.

Think ill lay him in running as he could look the winner before the home turn no doubt.

I think his run will mirror Riviera D'etel last season,of course he'll be further infront of them than she ever was,but he'll be a sitting duck coming down the hill to the 3rd last,by the 2nd last you can have any price you like on BF about him winning, unfortunate as I do love me a bold front runner, but he does everything half a stride quicker than he should,it's not even that he doesn't settle in front cause he does,at the DFR Dannys hands are down on his neck throughout so he isn't taking a grip at all,he's relaxed lobbing along at his own pace, which is fine but in G1 company that pace is his undoing as those around him can pick him off when they're ready, maybe a 1m4f novice chase would be the right race for him.

He's a great jumper, no doubt about that, I'm just convinced he flatters to deceive.

Outside of Grade 1 company his form reads 11111 with winning distances 7L, 8L, 19L, 19L, 18L, all from the front.

Put him in Grade 1 company and he's fallen 9/4 tired, gone off 13/8 and been beaten 55L, then backed into 9/2 and picked off easily to finish 4th.

If there was no obvious class angle in the race then I could envisage him maybe getting away on the front end and slipping the field, but he has 2 serious rivals.

                  I could be wrong.

The one thing on his side I really like is Danny. Nobody front rides the course better, he really understands how to do it well.

                      • Does the going affect this race? It’s the one race no one’s really talked about it.

Personally, I think they’d all go well with a bit of cut in the ground. On running style, you’d think it might count against DD but his form on soft or worse is very good.

                        • Think EF would benefit most from any more rain as his DRF run had Stayer written all over it. He wasn't stopping at the finish. Agree though that all of the front 3 shouldn't be inconvenienced.

                          • The Arkle at the moment is a 4 horse race:

                            Hollow Games
                            Straw Fan Jack
                            Effernock Fizz
                            Ballybreeze

Looks like we'll get 8 runners, each way prices on the day of race markets!
