Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

He'll likely be ridden to pick up the pieces too

Could easily pass one or two of the big 3 on the run in if the winner has burnt them off

          • Now I've seen Gavin Cromwell say Grand Annual is most likely as only 1lb higher than in Ireland, I've actually taken the 20/1 NRNB for the Arkle .... in case one of the big ones misses is.

            El Fabiolo
            Jonbon
            Dysart Dynamo
            Saint Roi

            Are they the only runners?

The 14/1 e/w for Saint Roi surely won't last

Thought he toughed that out really well tbh, and Jonbon scooted clear of him once getting back to him when they met.

                    Haha he did.

To be honest though, I expect any of the Mullins trio to also be able to scoot away from a handicapper... so we know nothing that we didn't already know...

It's just not a negative... and even if Calico had been walloped, that wouldn't really have been a negative for Jonbon, but it'd wouldn't have been a positive

                      Yep
                      Nothing learnt today, as expected.

                      • Although I certainly take the form of the 2 runner race with a pinch of salt. Jonbon clearly ran below par due to the circumstances etc.

Calico actually running like that (pretty much to his mark) doesn't help Jonbon who's rated 22lb the better.
Means about as much as the 2 runner race did.
                        Nowt.

Had he bounded clear today then that would have helped for sure.
Had he bombed out, then that would have meant nowt also.

Agree. It's a murky picture at best.

Jonbon backers must want something in behind to do something of real note, but it's just not happening.

EF to wipe the floor with Jonbon anyone?

I’m pretty happy with everything I’ve seen from Jonbon.
Just waiting for the race now to see how it all pans out.
                            Its poised nicely.

                            • I think Jonbon had been left with work to do when it beat Calico, but I would personally mark that Calico performance up a notch today given he did not jump with much fluency for the first mile and clattered a few.

i personally have Jonbon, EF and DD all covered at double figure prices so don’t mind, but actual preference would be for DD to go off out front and make it a real test with all three jumping the last in a line. No excuses for anyone.

There we have it. Knew they'd be one even if Calico won.
