Mortal is a good EW one

    • I’d still favour Delta Work over him, but it certainly throws a spanner in the DW by 4+ lengths I’ve got in a few bets!

I'd love to see the case for an 11 year old 136 rated horse as being a good each way - 3 places bet ?

Does Elliott bring over more than two for the race ?
Now Galvin joins Delta Work I've pretty much given up hope of Samcro coming here...

          • That's it. I'm gone at the game...

            Poor old Galvin.

Lots are going to come out and some of the few top ones left are inexperienced. Plan of Attack (138) placed last year @ 25/1 having gathered some good experience. Out Sam (137) placed in 2020 @ 33/1 as an 11 year old for Gordon. For the betting without markets or each way extra no reason to think Mortal can't do the same, especially given how well he ran at Cheltenham after over a year off.

                Not a bad effort.
Not convinced though, as I think there will be other runners not listed at present. He may end up one of the lowest rated.
However, he's not without a chance, just wouldn't describe it as good at the moment.
Had he won the handicap last time then maybe so. The 2 that finished behind him are likely runners and they will both be a lot better off at the weights.

Is it realistic to expect an 11 year old having their first run in 356 days to win a handicap like that?

                        • That’s why 365 added Galvin back into the prices. They knew. Already cut him to 7/2 NRNB

The absolute stone cold here, is that Delta Work beats Galvin.

                            Why?

Because I was Cause of Causes over Tiger Roll.
Then I was Tiger Roll over Delta Work.

This time, my beloved Galvin, who got up that rail in the NH Chase, is going to lose to Delta Wanker.

                            Written in the stars.

If Galvin wins this race, he's alongside Frankel as the GOAT for me personally, and dreams don't come true, despite what Gabielle wants you to believe

In the same vein that people need to remember Douvan broke a hip, people should remember CoC got kicked square in the chest by Bless the Wings when he fell.

                              Travesty it ended his career!

Yeah, I don'[t want to be sour grapes but when people took that literally that he PU and that was 'him' I hated it
