Don’t think he will be nimble enough for the twists and turns of this Ista

He isn’t really a big boat but he still doesn’t fit the usual type for this imo

Haha - unfortunately spy no longer! My contact who was quite senior was sacked, so no more inside XC scoop! Delta will win.

Yeah I can see that but he has wins on the Old Course and also at Killarney so tight undulating tracks suit.
I think he'd be a very interesting runner if he were to come here but I've heard nothing since that early season Cheltenham entry...

From memory I believe he had been gifted to Gordon’s head lass Camilla Sharples to run in p2p’s

So far he has won 3 easily

I think part of the agreement was if he ran under rules again it would be in the Gigginstown colours

Not sure if he could run in the Hunters Chase at Aintree

I'm fairly sure he can run at Aintree

I know a number of people have mentioned Galvin for this but has there actually been any quotes from connections which have even hinted that he might come here? I haven’t seen any.

Good question, I do feel like I read it on here around 11th October .... which was the day before he won the Grade 3 at Punchestown ....

I don't think I'd have backed it without hearing Gordon mention the race.... as I'd have been dubious that it was an option

So let's hope someone can find it

I found this from October 2022

“We're going to go the same route as last year with him," said Elliott. "He'll go to the big race at Down Royal after Punchestown, and that is going to be his Gold Cup. He surprised us last year but kept on improving and ended up in a Gold Cup.

"I suppose he's the sort of horse who could end up in a cross country chase in years to come, but we're going to start him off in the big staying chases again this year.

"He looks very well and he's in great form. We're looking forward to getting him back out at Punchestown and, as I said, the race at Down Royal next month will be his Gold Cup. He's being geared towards that," added Elliott.

I read this quote as not being this season but perhaps a future season, although it’s not entirely clear.

That's it. Fully expecting him to not end up good enough for a Gold Cup myself, so was woreth the poke at 25s

Different now at current price and radio silence on it...

There were no rumours about Delta Work or Tiger Roll when they first appeared in cross country races so I don't think that should put us off.

I'd like to see Samcro or Galvin get an entry on trials day.

No entry for the Irish Gold cup and conflated set to skip the race was enough for me.

Same here. I don't need to top up on him now as got the good prices when he first went up on paddy but I'm already planning the multiples that I'll put him in if/when he gets the trials day xc entry
