He needs to go up at least 4lb to get in the Grand National so I'd like to think a win today would get him that rise, then they can target the XC, followed by the GN.
I'm going to back him to win today and hope that 33s for the XC is still available afterwards. It'd work out close to 125/1.

Posted this in my diary in October but will post here (now 11/4 not 4/1)
Delta Work to win the XC by 3L or more @ 4/1 interests me (Sky). He's 15/8 to win which seems a reflection of a dire division (and bookies being bastards). Over the last 10 years the average winning distance is 8 lengths and quite a few marginal winners skew this with plenty of talented festival regulars posting 17L+ wins. Thats exactly what Delta Work is and he won last year after an unconventional prep and beat the best going, so I think there's every chance he's just as good next year if not better. He was definitely better schooling second time last year than first, and he'll be coming over 2-3 times to school and get ready.
8 lengths or more is 7/1
10 lengths or more is 9/1
Merit in both the above IMO. Its too specialist a test in too rubbish a division to not consider 8L+, even at this early stage.

Probably not going to frighten Delta Work backers too much.
But Snow Leopardess going to try the cross country course out with a view to a potential run.
Slightly more frightening is Galvin being backed into 8-1 with PP & BF, although this is more than likely linked to Conflated being mentioned as going straight to Gold cup and skipping dublin.

But no Galvin entry in the Irish Gold cup
