El Fab was 33/1 up until Aintree (365). Not sure you’d have got a price about Saint Roi. Dysart was 20/1 (365).

Gerri was 33/1. You’d not have got a price about the other two I doubt.

It was because El Fab missed the festival that year, so was slightly overlooked in the market. Got me thinking - are there any others like that this year?

Potentially. One I’ve got my eye on is Found A Fifty.

                I'm with you there.

I presume we will see him again in the next month.

I have an inkling it might be Aintree rather than Punchestown. Gordon seems keen on sending a strong team over, and I’d imagine he’d wasn’t to avoid MN or FV at this stage of his career.

He's 6 or 7lb inferior to GDM and was an inferior hurdler also, so on that basis I can see why you'd be a bit reluctant and expect better (first season) novices to appear.

He's fairly inexperienced as a racehorse though, so can't really rule out progress from him either though. It's not a race I'd want to back anything else in at this point to be honest. But I also wouldn't back him at 12s to be fair
Yeh, 25s was fair enough but he's best price 12s. If he was still 25s, i'd have backed him as well in all probability.

He was a low 130s hurdler so not in the same parish as GDM. In his graded chases he has been ridden to pick up the pieces and I think that has flattered him somewhat.

This has nothing to do with his ability but his legs are all over the place too. I'm not sure I've seen an action like it, not from a graded horse anyway.

A TWAR price for him would be interesting while he’s still under the radar

Need to start reminding hills to open a market as they’re generally better odds than sky

….trying to recall when they opened their a/r market last year but think it was a while after Sky.

But you can put the Sky ones in multiples

                              • I don't mind IAM for the NHC, felt like he's been schooling in public most of the season anyway, similar path to GDM, JP purchase has to be a positive. Not many other obvious candidates out there as there has been the last couple of seasons. Wouldn't be rushing in at 12s mind.
