  • ….thought I read a suggestion on here this morning that IEP could stay over hurdles.

Lossiemouth I think could end up a little in no woman’s land. She won’t win a champion hurdle in my opinion and also I’m not sure she’s crying out for the step up to the Mares hurdle distance.
I think Willie said in the wake of Lossiemouth's Punchestown win that it'd be the Mares next year with a view to Churdle the year after.

Interesting re Tullyhill, he was the one who impressed me with his cruising speed. Almost looked a potential Supreme Horse. I'd all but consigned my AB bets to the bin.

      • Ballyburn... Ballymore or slim chance Supreme (quickened like a 2 miler last time) and Tullyhill Ballymore/Albert for me.
Lossiemouth Mares Hurdle but agree with Jackie she may not stay 2 1/2 at Cheltenham and like all 5 Year olds she has it all to do against the older horses.
I'm still with Love Envoi for the Mares Hurdle. 12's is a very silly price.

I’d have fortunes on Love Envoi if I knew ground would be soft, if it’s not there’s no point her lining up.
Why they sent her to Punchestown on decent ground is beyond me, owners day out ?
Let’s hope she comes back fit and firing next Winter…

Don't think he quickened like a 2 miler myself

He was taken off the bridle then galloped all the way to the line

his future is definitely over 2m4f+ imo

More likely to be a bartlett horse than a supreme horse to me

Agree. They should have learnt from last year. Probably one race too many again plus the ground plus a curious ride from an odd Jockey booking.

She'll be back though. Cheltenham definitely brings out the best in her and the Tuesday will always have 'Soft' in the description so no worries there.

                  You may be right.

It'll be interesting to see if he starts out over 2 .

Most of Willie's start over 2 so that won't mean much

Penhill ran in the Royal bond before winning the bartlett

This is probably where we will disagree lobos, for me she needs proper deep ground, good to soft won’t be deep enough, she may well still put up a bold show but to be seen to best effect she needs genuine soft ground, she’s got lucky the last two season but will need the rain Gods to play ball for a third to win…

Don't think that's true of all his other Ballymore/Albert winners is it ?

Is it right that all his Supreme winners started out over 2 miles ?

She's definitely better with plenty of dig agreed but connections were surprised with how much pace she showed in her races last season compared to her Novice season which is why she was given the Champion Hurdle entry.

                          • Mentioned on a diary earlier, its my understanding that Impaire et Passe will go champ hurdler route even if Con hill stays over hurdles, Ive not hear thats changed.

Would be very, very odd for Willie to throw two big bullets away trying to topple CH. If true that both state Man and IEP go Churdle then me thinks the Hill is definitely going chasing.
