    Better to stay on up the run in and get beat a cosy short head then. Brilliant news it's on

      That's what I was thinking. Impervious could be the one for winning the race today unless Willie has a Colreevy clone from either of his two.

        I'm hoping he has.

          I've requested win today and win the Mares Chase at the Fez with Hills, hopefully should have a price shortly.

                Instit....

                'She probably needs a longer trip than this, but I’ve got to start her off somewhere and get experience into her. I’m happy to let her take her chance.'

                Nice. Won't be winning today by the sounds of it but from that I'd say the Mares Chase is the target. Pop her round safely and 2 more runs before March. Same as Colreevy.

                      To my (untrained) eyes, it didn't look like Mark Walsh really pressed the button on Dinoblue when Impervious came upside her in the last race.

                      Do people reckon he was all out on Dinoblue or trying to save himself a 3lb penalty?

                      • Wouldn't be confident dinoblue would get the extra distance

                        Looks like a free going 2 miler

                        Impervious was well on top at the line

                        • ….Colm Murphy re Impervious;

                          ”I’d have been disappointed had we not been in the ding-dong there. We’ve had a nice clean run with her this year. Settling her is the big worry but she settled really well again today. She was a bit careful jumping early on but warmed up to it & her pedigree is all jumping. I wouldn’t be afraid of stepping her up in trip either, there is plenty of improvement to come from stepping her up. We’ll see how she comes out of this & there are plenty of nice options for her.”

                          • Impervious given a 150 rpr for Cork.

                            That's 3lbs behind what Elimay achieved after two runs over fences and 6lbs lower than Colreavy posted.

                            But it certainly sets a pretty decent standard for this season.

                              But lower than Riviere Detel and Jeremy's Flame runs this year. Appreciate they both come with their caveats; form and distance respectively.
