Just don't think DC will send him to Cheltenham even if his big two couldn't make it. Just not his style. He looks after them.

I don't know what Christie has said after today's race as yet.
And I felt for him when he got mugged last year.
But if he doesn't even consider entering this horse then I have no sympathy whatsoever. He acts like a trainer with multiple Cheltenham festival winners, and he ain't that.
I'm old enough to remember Kingscliff, so he should be.

…..that seems quite definite, I wonder if they’ll sell if a decent offer comes in.Last edited by Eggs; 22 January 2023, 05:14 PM.

He looks miles better than every other horse that will run in the Hunters this year, his age means nothing.

Just annoys me, these trainer/losers trying to be smart.
He looked heartbroken after the finish last year and now thinks winged leader needs aintree and the 6 year old shouldn't travel.
He's a mug.
I hope the dog Billaway beats him again.
Plus, every top amateur would pay to ride him in the hunters.

Do connections really want to bet on the horse being in good health and top form in 14-months, c/w knowing he’s in good health and top form now?
Complete muppets.
Must have looked in a crystal ball and know that it’s all going to be fine next March, but at the same, this March he‘s going to get a wee bit tired.
David Maxwell needs to have a word with them.
He spends a packet in this sphere too, and he would defo take his chances this year if he had a horse showing that level of form.
Like Coneygree, in his Novice season, strike now when you know your fit and strong, wait a year and it could be a year to late.
It’s unlikely I would agree with leaving things for another year, in most cases.
Not a dig at connections
Just a dig at anyone who thinks waiting is a good idea, when it clearly looks to the gen.pop that now is the time to let rip…….
Lord knows who will go Hunter Chasing next year.

100% should be running. Stupid not to isn't it, as outlined above. Who knows what could happen in 14 months time! Got a good chance of winning a festival race that you surely can't overlook.
I'd imagine 6 year olds don't often win the race because decent ones very rarely run in it. Nothing more than that.
