Trainer said he's young, doesn't want to rush him this year. He also said Vaucelet will be aimed at Cheltenham and Winged Leader at Aintree Foxhunters
Depends on ground re Vaucelet and Winged Leader. Vaucelet is ground dependant, prefers quicker conditions so if it were wet leading up to Cheltenham it is more likely Winged Leader would be his representative.
He could be exceptional and one of his others might not be fit.
I really don't get the Vaucelet price either.
His form is just OK vs the price.
He's priced like he won the Hunters last season.
I also don't understand the trainer comments regarding Winged Leader.
A horse that should have won last year really.
Definitely Morally.

I'm not sure this is the case.
These Hunters hack their way round PTP courses, mostly in Spring and Summer, where there's zero irrigation an invariably quick ground, so he naturally has form on quick ground but he will be fine if it were to come up soft, very deep ground maybe not but that catches the majority of racehorses out, but soft and he's fine...

Christie says he likes better ground which is why he sees him more as his Cheltenham horse whereas WL handles Soft ground better.

OK, I wasn’t aware of trainer comments.
I think he’ll be OK whatever ground they face, I’d imagine it’s the extremes that find them out, either very deep or very quick ground.
I like Vaucelet and have him in a few multis but he's plenty short enough now…
Trainer is obviously spoilt for choice but Ferns Lock looks a potential superstar in this division.
I thought he looked good on debut and today confirmed it.
I know Patrick gave up and the horse is not always at his best first time up, but he looked well held and was trying until he knew he had no chance.
Ferns Lock would hold his own in open company at a very decent level IMO.
