Didn't AP put up Epatante without CH as a bet the other day ?
That said, exchanges suggest you're right....
I haven't heard anything. If both MR and Epatante missed the race it would surprise me

      Current exchange prices:
      Honeysuckle 3.75
      Epatante 5.2
      Brandy Love 8.0
      Echoes in Rain 9.4
      Marie's Rock 10.5
      Love Envoi 10.5
      Bar 17.0

This might be a bit too simplistic, but i don't see Epatante reversing form with Honeysuckle, unless Honeysuckle is regressing at quite a rate. Epatante is also 9yr old so it's not like she's got age on her side, and I'm doubtful 2.5 miles around Cheltenham will see her at her best.
Epatante is my biggest winner but I don't think she'll beat Honeysuckle. I've mentioned previously that the whole Honeysuckle regressing talk is over done and I think she will win this easily.

Neither have been at their absolute best for a couple of years, but been able to win Grade 1s, with their 7lb allowance helping to do that.

They've both put up a best of 158 in the last 12 months, and they have both been over 2M4F.

Maries Rock has a lifetime best of 158 in that period, also over 2M4F.

So all three are pretty equal on their last years RPRs, and all over the Mares Hurdle distance.

I hope they can all produce a run like that this time round, and see if the others can rise up and match it.

If Maries Rock goes to the Stayers she has around 3lb to find (after the 7lb allowance taken into account) to be at the level of what Teahupoo and K.Dream did when they beat Honey around 3L in the Hattons Grace.

So, not that far short, and bridgeable.

        • Ted Walsh seemed fairly bullish on echoes in rain this morning, called Honeysuckle "Henry's nice mare". Watching back that Hattons Grace I think she might have won it.

If the Mares Hurdle was 2m I think Echoes in Rain would win it.

At the intermediate distance, I think she could but not the same positivity.

Sure paddy said he wasn't holding onto much and would have been a clear 4th at best.

              • Don't think echoes in rain will stay the trip well enough to win

Brandy love is the one at the prices

                • Didn't get many takers on here with EIR for this last year, when she was a bigger price but I think she'd have gone very close with a better ride / jockey. Didn't see any issues with her with regards the trip in last years race?

Did he say that? Looked to me like he had loads of horse, Teauhupoo cuts across her and he just shifts inside still hard held.

                    • Sorry if someone has already said, but what is the deadline for Henderson to put his hand in his pocket for Epatante?

Same, if I recall correctly wasnt she hampered quite a bit too by the TMSG fall?

Yea, she was hampered by that incident that saw TMSG brought down. But she was positioned badly at the time imo and also never recovered, as it should've been about then she'd have been making ground...

Fear she'll get Patrick again though, so not getting too involved yet.

Think it needs to be entered at the 6 day stage so this Wednesday, not totally sure but not certain they can be added at declaration 48hrs before….
