Be really interesting to see this market on the day especially with an Epatante (Honey too thou don't want her in this race for various reasons) if she's anything like 4/1(optimistic granted) I couldn't have 3 in front of her after her seeing her at the weekend and would be putting her in all sorts of e/w bets.

Yes it is a view shared by James Burn the lambourn correspondent and Owen Goulding in the RP ....the only shred of possibility (despite Tom Palin saying again that the stayers is not ruled out while also saying she’s got crowns let’s defend them) left is if the rpr is such that it makes them think again. Ironically the stayers is being considered for Dashel Drasher. Let’s also not forget she is by Milan out of a flemensfirth mare ....it’s a staying pedigree and that’s why she finishes her races so strong, it’s her being as quick as she is that’s the bonus not the stamina.

champ has got no chance imo and Buzz won’t be back in training until Feb as I understand it...Hendo has probably his best ever opportunity to take all 3 senior hurdle races this year with CH, Epatante and MR and normally it is only Willie that can say that. This time it is both of them ....they could have the front two in the betting in the first two legs and end up with a KD /MR showdown.

Anyway I have wasted enough of mine and others time with something that isn’t going to happen. And just to clarify one thing HBTL is by far my biggest winner in the stayers and close to the whole festival so there is nothing pocket related here.

Yes thanks QZY...I understand the decision made and most seem to agree with it. I wish connections good luck, she is an absolute star as far as I am concerned and hopefully she will start to get the recognition she deserves. Fwiw I think she would piss up in the stayers (as you’ve probably gathered from earlier posts ) Most importantly I hope she stays sound and in great health.

Had a brainwave on the way to work this morning, regarding our favourite pornstar and where she might make a seasonal reappearance. Whether that be a prep run prior to Cheltenham or just turning up fresh a la Quevega at the Mares Hurdle.

A lot of talk that she needs to go left handed, but the only graded mares hurdle before the festival is at Punchestown in February (correct me if that is wrong).

Now, I cannot recalling reading this before, so apologies if it has already been mentioned, but it wouldn't surprise me to see BL run in the Mares Handicap Hurdle (off near top weight) at the DRF as a prep prior to the Mares Hurdle. I think it would be either that or the Irish Champion Hurdle which would be most likely.

Am I mad or does that sound a realistic option?

Echoes in Rain ran in the Irish Champion before (she should've won) the mares hurdle last year. Think that'd be more likely than the handicap for Brandy also.

The only issue that there could be with that would be riding arrangements. Townend would more than likely want to be on her for her prep run if she has one, as Willies main hope in the MH. But he won't be riding her in the Irish Champ with either or both of State Man and Vauban in the race. Last year he rode Echoes in the race because they didn't have any others in it (ex Saint Roi JP horse)
