  • ….Eabha Grace winning like a 1-10 fav just now but perhaps franking the form of Halka du Talbert.

I know she's had mid-trip entries more recently, but the fact all was quiet until a month or so ago suggests she's not been straightforward to train. If she's not out soon I presume they'd consider running in a bumper to preserve her novice status for next season. On the other hand they see her as a future chaser, so maybe they get on with things anyway.

Whatever happens now though it's impossible to consider her for anything at the Festival. There's just no time to get any experience into her.

      • Codd has mentioned 3 of Elliott's in the email today.

        Harmonya Maker
She looks like a real Apple's Jade. She just gallops, jumps and handles soft ground, as well as being by the same sire and having a similar makeup. She was so, so impressive when I won a bumper on her but jumps have been the making of her and she's very good.

        Halka du Tabert

She's a very, very nice mare. She did well to win her Naas bumper with me on and then was impressive with what she did after the back of the last on hurdling debut (the second has franked the form since). She has a really high cruising speed and is very talented."

        Liberty Dance

I would imagine Cheltenham is very much on the agenda for her; she tough, honest and jumps well. She could keep surprising us! She's not flashy at home but very straight forward and her form is stacking up.

        • Would he run all three ? Maybe go mob handed to upset Willie ? Or perhaps save one for Fairyhouse?

Why would it upset Willie. Nicky has the fav. No doubt Henry wants to win it too, he has at least 3. Willie will probably have 3 or 4, but he won't get upset by what Gordon enters

I really like all 3 of them, all quite different profiles / types really

Only on one of them, eek!

Running over further so potentially the Fairyhouse before chasing next year would be my guess.

Find that strange to be honest.

Thought her run in behind TCB and AN was pretty decent tbf

Fairyhouse race is a grade 1 and over 2m4. Could possibly go to Cheltenham anyway. I like her and that grade 2 was a great race.

Agree. The mares novice hurdle at the mo, looks wide open with some real value about. Luccia is far too short for what she's achieved. Gords got 4 nice ones to be honest. Very strong hand there. I'd like to see deeply superficial line up.

Which would be your pick of his quartet? Agree it’s wide open but find them all much of a muchness if I’m honest, and at the prices general 12/1-14/1 each I’d really like to be forming a strong opinion on one or two at most if I were to be a backer.

I keep hoping Willie debuts something exciting & preferably French in the solerina.

Got Glory (Turelys),Hip Hop Davis (Ricci), Junta Marvel (J Turner), Je Garde (Donnellys) just a few of the unknown French mare candidates for Mullins.

The first 2 we’re on my radar, got glory the most exciting on paper IMO, must admit I hadn’t read anything on the other two thanks I’ll check them out

Saxon Warrior WPM Mares Novice race planning is worth a reference again this time of year, and as you say on the watch for any FR 5yo entered in the Solerina
                                for next weekend.
