Looks like she'll be Wille's number 1 hope at this stage.

That said I’m struggling to think of many other novice mares he have that may be putting themselves in the picture for this. I noticed hip hop Davis was entered for a race but not declared over Xmas so we may see her soon

Is anyone else still completely mystified as to this race. Have a small roll up for a point on the fav for this before her last run but I don’t particularly fancy her at the current price. But she’s at least a contender and can’t be ruled out just yet. None of the Irish mares have impressed me as of yet as well which isn’t helping. Will have another proper look tomorrow but of all the festival non-handicaps as of right now, this is the race I’ve least idea who not only I would back but who I want to avoid. A minefield of a race and quite possibly one I don’t have an antepost bet in come March (the Lucia rollup is literally 1 point so I’m not really counting that as a proper bet).
Would love to see something to get me excited about the race. A proper performance in the next three or four weeks from something.

Lot of Joy may put herself firmly into the picture today with an impressive win. Her close debut defeat to Inothewayurthinkin can obviously be marked up a fair bit after what that one did next time and she has been backed in over the last couple of days for March. Her flat form entitles her to be very competitive if transferred to hurdles.
Willie's comments.......
'We’ve kept her for this race. We were looking for a mares’ maiden but there wasn’t one that suited her, so we decided to come to Leopardstown. She’ll have no problem with the ground, the experience of her run at Cork will stand her in good stead and she’s one who is carrying a lot of hopes from Closutton. Her Flat form suggests two-and-a-half miles will be right up her street.'

Don’t think FV sister will be in the mix, vibes from the owners were she was decent but they weren’t jumping up and down about her (albeit this was early in the season)
Equally I do not see Luccia being diverted to supreme, highlighted it before it’s not Nickys style to run a good mare against 2m geldings at the festival. She’s taking the talworth run cause the timing suits & she likes the track. In all seriousness it will not be near the quality competition you’d face in a supreme come March.
and the fact it’s the owners first chance at a Cheltenham winner or a major win at all (biggest win they have beyond her is a grade 3 handicap in 2018).
If people even consider her good enough to run in a supreme then she is surely a shoe in for MNH, as an owner you’d go for the easier race to secure that 1st festival winner.
