Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

    Penalties, a winner of a Class 2 weight-for-age or Class 1
    handicap hurdle race…3lb
    Of a Class 1 weight-for-age hurdle race…5lb

^ I believe Luccia already gets a 5lb penalty for her Listed race. So whether she wins the Tolworth or not, she'll still carry 11-7 in the Mares Novice compared to 11-2 for those who aren't penalised.

        • Another reason they may consider a go at the supreme... Although seems a fairly even split of horses winning off 11-2 and 11-7

Yes, archie is often correcting us on this, penalties are give on class of race, so listed, G3, G2, G1 races carry the same penalty…

            • If she’s got a hope in the supreme the 5lb penny won’t make a jot of difference in this for me

              • Let me be clear - I think she’ll run in the mares race.

However, these trainers are fucking slow on the uptake aren’t they. Mares seem very competitive across the boards these days.

Its almost like they can’t see an edge when it’s staring them in the face.
The 7lb is like having “the force”

Effectively 12lb better off running in the supreme vs mares novice.

so I’d weigh up the opposition nearer the day.

                • He's also got others good enough to compete for the winners spot in the MNH as well so it's not as if he is throwing away a winning chance. Nicky will have one eye (his good one) on Facile Vega. If he isn't necessarily impressive then maybe they'll take their chances in the Supreme. Lots of water under that bridge first. Luccia might look poor against the geldings yet and then the decision, if there is one, will be easy. Ahorsewithnoname runs at Xmas as well so her performance will have a big bearing.

Not a good sign going forward.

Yes. Run was clearly too bad to be true but not a good sign going forward. Shame.

Disappointing she's been cut on the back of it...

Is getting beaten by Il Etait Temps that impressive?

Need to rewatch it as I was concentrating on FV but she wasn't really put in the race was she. If you split it into a race between FV and IET and then the rest, she's hammered the others.

I guess, just not sure what she'll have learnt from that going forwards though.

Feel she's too short despite the angle for me
