Will it ever end? Probably only when a 100-1 shot scoots in to close the show on the Wednesday. Unbacked by everybody.
    You just know that'll happen.

    • Trainer Mullins, earlier successful with Hauturiere said “it was a very good performance from the horse and jockey. He was too keen the whole way and to produce a run like that after running so keen for a mile-and-three-quarters showed that he has a lot left in the locker. It looked a fair race, in very tough ground.
“He's a horse that we're really looking forward to going over jumps. He looks a real chaser in the making, however he probably booked a ticket to Cheltenham (for the bumper) with that run.

“He looks an exciting recruit for Ronnie Bartlett and David Manasseh, who is a football agent.”

Not mine!! One bet only and that was ages ago.
Far more potential profitable races than this one

        • King Of Kingsfield Champion Bumper, 33-1
We fancied him to run a big race at Leopardstown over Christmas but he disappointed us. He wasn't right and scoped dirty afterwards. He's much better than he showed there and goes straight to the Champion Bumper.

......better re-back him boys and girls

          • No Time To Wait Champion Bumper, 20-1
He bolted up at Down Royal and that was more than enough to book his ticket to the Champion Bumper. He's a horse we think has got a decent future.

            Pour Les Filles
            Champion Bumper, 14-1
I liked the way he won his point for Colin Motherway and he made a winning start for us in a Leopardstown bumper over Christmas. He's on the Champion Bumper team and is coming along nicely at home.

                • He should send the filly and get Oisin Murphy on top off a feather weight. Be tough to beat with all the allowances.

63 pages and we’re back to suggesting King of Kingsfield Pre season gamble did he go short as 10/12s for this? Maybe not but there was a rush

Did get caught up in this race way too early myself haven’t touched it in awhile. Certainly will be playing it cooler next season

                      • KoK went 7/1 at one stage before he bombed out. Been a bit of disaster this year - bit like you Kev, I wonder whether I need to treat this like the Hunter Chase next year and not bother…!

Bumpers are their own discipline aren't they...... it's a helluva lotta effort and watching based around 1 race a reason.

At least hurdles and chases are worth watching

                          I'll probably re-back KoK though

                          • What a stupid name Pour Les Filles is for a gelding.

                            Means 'For Girls' apparently.

That'll annoy me for the rest of it's career.

I too backed KOK early doors. Glad there was a reason he ran so flat last time.

Just watch race replays and fast forward to the final bend

like watching watching a test when you could watch T20
