….although there is usually a specified e/w Yankee, I think much is down to the poster.

I'll do it but I probably won't get the selections up until Friday/Saturday.

I'm thinking two shorties and two at bigger prices.

…thanks Matey. Discretion on selections is entirely yours. Fri/Sat should be fine as long as it’s before any run & odds change.

May the force be with you.

No worries Eggs when I say Saturday, it'll be Saturday morning prior to any racing so that'll be fine so if anyone fancies any weekend runners, please highlight on here.

                  My initial thoughts would be 2 from the following;

                  Flooring Porter
                  Energumene
                  Luccia
                  Jonbon

                  Plus 2 at bigger odds

                  Happy to hear any suggestions

….I think FP is trained by Cromwell, & the Yankee is one selection from each of Henderson, HdB, Mullins & Elliott. That was my take anyway. Plenty of nominations in the thread already & time for plenty more to come in.

                      When the season has begun.
A lot of these yankees tend to contain selections with a heavy recency bias, and therefore quite often poor value prices.

Whatabout going against that and going for negative recency bias (as long as they have proven class and solid targets)

                      A Plus Tard 10-1
                      Zanayhir 20-1
                      Shishkin 4-1
                      Elimay 9-1

You could probably guarantee all will be shorter if lining up on the day.

Just not finding the time to be as active as I’d like this year and must admit I not been following all of the yankees etc but I think in facile vega & jet powered being so short there is value to be had in the Supreme market.

Irish point would be my pick at current prices, he looks speedy and although he was not so fluent at 3 & 2 out on debut I think on the whole be has a nice technique for a 2 miler. The horse he beat in the grade 1 bumper is now 4/4 over hurdles including a grade 1 yesterday.

It will be interesting to see how the form of what was on paper not a great maiden he won works out.

He is probably more a each way bet then win only but it sounds like he will be campaigned over 2 miles from the bits I’ve read

                          Bigger odds suggestions:

Mullins) Pink in the Park - Mares Hurdle - 33/1. Connections think the world of her. Impressive debut finishing second to Kalinisi Star who himself is a bright talent in my view. Was pushed out from 20's for some strange reason.

Elliott) Conflated - Gold Cup - 50/1. Elliott admits he might've got the trip wrong last year. Was impressive when falling behind Allaho. Won the Irish GC and needed the run first time out this year (and didn't disgrace himself in thrid).

Henderson) Walking on Air - Stayers - 50/1. Impressive novice over the mid trip last year. Surprised he was kept over hurdles. Nicky likes him a lot and thinks he could be right up there in the division this year.

HDB) Arctic Bresil - Albert Bartlett - 40/1. Struggling with this a bit ... hasn't got a hugely deep squad this year, not as deep as the other 3 anyway. I like Arctic Bresil who was unlucky in his PTP (UR) when going well. Second to also fancied Present Soldier in his second maiden PTP. Confirmed as going hurdling this year and a 6yo which is better, IMO for the staying hurdles divisions.

Yep. Ithink we need to swim against the tide with some of these yankees.

Journey With Me, Bob Olinger, Minella Cocooner, Minella Crooner are others I'd consider.

I like where your heads at with this one. Gordon mentioned that he's all speed and his entries suggest this could be Gordons main supreme hope. 33s with betfred I like him at a price

In that case, how about a Paul Nicholls Yankee?
