It's looking like it would be a shock of the ages if either of Willie's doesn't win this race. Willing to accept my fate if the DRF confirms otherwise, but it would have to be one of the races you'd be most confident about if you have Lossiemouth and Blood Destiny at good prices. Both seem bankers for multiples.

Think he has talent, but will never compete at the top

Couldnt be backing any English trained horses for this race, doubtful any will even place.
They are miles off the quality show in IRE

The depth in ireland is much bigger.
But comfort zone who just beat imo the best of the brits at the weekend, was only 6 1/4 lengths behind lossiemouth on their meeting. interesting to watch jj slevvins ride in that race. i remember comments about zarak the brave being stuck on the inside, so was comfort zone, and once in the clear and ask for an effort looked just as fast as lossiemouth imo.
It's also important to remember that was only his 2nd hurdles run too, coming just 7 days after his maiden win.
To say irelands best lossiemouth? is miles ahead of scriptwriter on this form line just isn't true, it could also be argued scriptwriter faced a better, fresher comfort zone.
obviously lossiemouth could also have improved.
While ahead, miles ahead is an exaggeration.Last edited by AaronLad; 30 January 2023, 09:18 AM.

And in Ireland you have a bunch with Mullins still not seen, gust of wind, gaucher, zenta amongst others. We might see them beforehand or one could just go straight there like haut en couleurs did.

So to date it's been a pretty modest bunch outside of the top two in the betting for the Triumph(IMO) & I'll say nice and early I don't get too involved in this or the boodles, but after seeing the rating given to Scriptwriter(132),(who will go Triumph given what the trainer thinks of him) and inevitably Comfort Zone who must be 133, how many are going to line up in the Triumph this year?
It's looking quite a small pool of horses that can run to and above 140 thus far, the ceiling in the Boodles has been 22-137,21-141,20-140,19-141,18-139 the last 5 years, this years could be the lowest yet(another reason to bin it) and given something in the top 3 of the weights has been 1st or 2nd the last 4 years in the hcap you couldn't fault JP for sending Comfort Zone here even after Saturdays win could you.Last edited by Outlaw; 31 January 2023, 09:17 AM.
