  • I've seen a few people mention Lossiemouth might be vulnerable, even to Gala Marceau,
Although she has won her 2 races off slow to middling gallops.

What is it you see in her that makes you think a better gallop won't suit her more ? - Cos I think she'll be even better, you can just tell.

And what is it in Gala Marceau's run style makes you think she'll get closer to Lossiemouth at Dublin or Cheltenham, given the course layouts of both. ? - She is far too keen going for me, and they rarely relax overnight.

She's the best of the Irish by a country mile IMO. (well, at least around 10lbs )

    • She should be going Boodles shouldn't she Q? No Lossie to worry about there and Willie would prefer to split his best juveniles and try and win both races no ?

      • Lossiemouth is a proper horse. Given the strength of willies other juveniles, will he run her in the mares novice? Just a thought, but he doesn’t seem to have a star in the mares novice ranks that we’ve seen yet

The race would suit better IMO, depends on the weight she gets though. I suspect she'd be close to top weight.
She looks on her toes like a frigid nun, whereas Lossiemouth looks like she's been around the block.

Top weight wouldn't stop her imo. Clearly my pocket talking as I've backed Lossiemouth for the Triumph and GM Any Race but why waste a really good bullet. Both of them running for me in the Triumph aint a bad thing though.

              • Lossiemouth is an absolute shoe in to run in 2024 Mares Hurdle. Any prices guys ??

                • Gala Marceau won a 3yo listed hurdle race by 11 lengths at Auteuil, chances are the handicapper will be aware of that and I’m sure she’ll improve on her reappearance so is unlikely to be rated much more than 3/4lb below Lossiemouth, that would make her very competitive in the Triumph…

Will she have another race though ?

I think they'd more likely be rated based on the last race when they met, don't you ?
So around 10lb to find I reckon.

Lossiemouth had already had a run, I think Gala Marceau should be judged after her next run and with the benefit of fitness, if she puts up a decent performance her mark is unlikely to be 10lb inferior in
                            my opinion…

That’s the 1 thing gala has going for her. Factor in lossie could have beat her by further, lossie would be 3lbs better off in the triumph and lossie has had significantly less racing experience. Gala has absolutely no chance of giving lossie a race imo

Can't see her improving much myself, she looks too flouncy.
                                IN time maybe.
