  • Good to see Gala Marceau entered up in the Knight Frank over Christmas. Lossiemouth & Blood Destiny both also entered.

Nice to see the entry. I was surprised she wasn’t in the maiden the next day with Tekao! Confidence or hiding from the handicapper?

Made this same mistake forgetting that race is a maiden, she’s not a maiden as she won 2 hurdle races in France EE.

Hopefully she is going there to show her ability as is the norm with WPM’s horses. If she’s not up to it then the Boodles will beckon. She has to take in a higher grade race though with the wins under her belt.

Ah of course! So many criteria to think about. Cheers.

Yes. A telling entry that. Hopefully she's very good.

Just seen other posts. She's not a maiden so had no other option really. Still up in the air where she ends up. This race will decide if she takes her chance.

            • Zarak not in the entries, any setback news or just rested? Would of expected the Frank Knight entry at least.

Hes had 2 quick runs already so maybe just giving him more time.

I'm expecting Lossiemouth not to run in the race tbh. Maybe Blood Destiny to see if he's up to the level and Gala Marceau.

I wonder, after the Knight Frank whether Willie will run them against each other (assuming Gala wins the Knight Frank) at Leopardstown or just run Lossiemouth and then they match off at the festival itself.

No idea ! He does seem to have a bucket load of decent juveniles this season. I am thinking that Zarak may, Just may, be his Boodles horse but I am certainly not wanting to get him priced up for it. That will only alert the enemy. Sit it out is the best way. Let them move first.

That would be a big leap for his debut. I’m sure I read somewhere (possibly Twitter) that he would be held back this year. Maybe that’s why they’re aiming so high on debut so that if he loses, he’s kept back for novices next season.

I think he'll be held back this season. He's already got Lossiemouth as his juvenile runner.

                          • Why would Lossiemouth not run?

No reason, other than Willie being mob handed and he can hold her back for the DRF then on to the festival from there. It's just my opinion, nothing else.

If Willie believes one of his others can win the Knight Frank then he can go straight to the DRF with Lossiemouth. Three hurdle runs prior to the Triumph would be fine.

Joe Chambers on Nick Luck podcast sounded pretty convinced she will run
