Cougar looked to have a bit in hand there... could have won by much further!

365 have only pushed Old Vic out to 50s so opportunity for 80% stake back. I can’t see her running in the Triumph after that.

Yeah I was surprised and chuffed to see that much on offer to cashout, certainly didn't hesitate.

Paddy have greyed my Old Vic bets!

Again only passing on what I was told, spoke to Owner pre race, he said him and Joey doesn't think its ready but Gordy wanted to run him!

Even with that quote still wanting to cash, but will be keeping tabs on it for boodles!

Zarak The Brave up soon. Interesting one could be Rightsotom for Thomas Mullins. Being by Maxios, who seems to do OK with juvenile hurdlers. I'll be keeping a close eye on him. He's attracted a little support for today too.

He made very easy work of that, didn't he? Was certainly visually impressive.

Nice start that, from Zarak The Brave, followed home by Rightsotom, and of course I didn't do the forecast

…Zarak still 28-1 with Fred, generally a best price 14-1 elsewhere.

(Edit; Fred now into 12-1 & most of 14-1 has gone).

Won well. I would guess Mullins has 2 or 3 better still to come out which is a scary thought.

….unless I’m reading the race wrong, it seemed to me like ZTB was ridden like a good one. Young horses from top stables are often in the van from the off but this one was ridden off the pace and only joined the leading group rounding the home bend before winning with ease.

                          Townend post-race:

“I thought they went a good gallop & he did things right. i was surprised with the turn of foot he showed and it landed me in the front very quickly. He stayed at it well & I think there is a bit to work with there as well. You’d like him. He winged the 2nd last & it was a matter of getting over the last. He’s going to come on for it, there was nothing spectacular but you’d like what he did at the last. He’s a nice prospect.”

That was a really nice performance by ZTB.

Should be a 130+ RPR for me, which is very good at this stage of the season, but I think they'll go slightly lower.

Quicker time than the following race - overall time better but final circuit and from 3 out, 2 out and 1 out much quicker and that race had some decent types in it. ZTB was cruising as well and could have gone quicker.

I suspect he's out earlier as Mullins has so many 3 year olds this year to accomodate. Could he go for the grade 3 in 3 weeks time at Fairyhouse and then the Grade 2 at Leopardstown at Xmas? More of an Elliott campaign but he's seemingly got a lot of firepower in the division this year.

If they think the one chosen for the maiden at Xmas is better, it's going to be very good.

It’s going to be interesting how Willie campaigns his juveniles as he has a few that could be near the top of his pile, that have won already, and therefore can’t take in the maidens over Xmas time.

One of which you may get to see this weekend all being well (Gala Marceau, there may be other Triumph candidates available).
