Away from Leopardstown - City Chief has just absolutely bolted up in the Towton. Has a National Hunt Chase entry for what it's worth and looked better the further he went...
Gerri is just brilliant isn't he. Love him for the BANC.
Lying if I said I wasn't disappointed AI couldn't do the business there but delighted all the same El Fab has stepped up and think he'll beat Jonbon.
I actually think 4s is value on him
With how weak the race looks I think he has a huge chance

Would be wary of the form. O'Toole while well regarded in the past won a handicap off 130 last time. Was hoping we'd get a proper showdown between CC and Ballygriffin to give the form some substance
I'm on Gerri myself like most on here at the 33-1 that was around forever.
And he looks like one of those horses that just does enough, so not sure how much more he has, and he does look like he'll improve for further for sure.
I'd also have him favourite for the Banc.
However, the bare from of his wins is not good enough and playing devils advocate, if that was a UK trained horse that just beat Balco Coastal just under 2 lengths, any talk of winning the Banc would be scoffed at.
El Fabiolo and Saint Roi EW have to be the plays in this race. Huge prices available for both.
Maybe the most satisfying result of a horse race I can remember for a long time – been bullish on El Fab over AI and DD over 2m since his run against Jonbon at Aintree. Can't wait for the rematch in March. Shame about Saint Roi too.
Anyone know the situation re Daryl Jacob and El Fabiolo moving forward? Does he retain the ride with Paul likely on DD? Or is Paul likely to end up on El Fab?
