El Fabiolo is the only one of the original Mullins Irish Arkle entries still in so it has to be a possibility. They may have taken a view from his chase debut that a slower pace would help his jumping. It would also be convenient for Mullins allowing him to potentially move JdB up to a weak BANC and put GdM in the NHC. If all that works, it's a good combination for them so I can imagine they might try it. The El Fabiolo (TNC) / JdB (BANC) related double feels worth covering in case.
Personally though I'd run him in the Kingmaker too. Great chance to test Jonbon and unnerve Henderson.

Racing Post article suggests to me that JDB won't run (maybe go for Ten Up instead en route to RSA?), which would allow El Fab to go 2m5f race without any owner issues. We will find out soon enough anyway!
"We've been delighted with the pair of them. Both were very fresh for their first runs. El Fabiolo is entered in both Grade 1 novice chases this weekend and Willie will decide nearer the time which one he'll go for. James Du Berlais was a Grade 1 horse in France as a youngster and has always been highly thought of and put in an exciting performance on chase debut. He would prefer it if it was softer ground so a decision on his participation will be made later in the week."
