He did . What would be the point though, to scare off opposition for other runners ? Has he declared anything else?

I did think when I saw the dec, that last season Chem.En was his Pipe horse from very early on.

He got his runs in early then left him 4 months until the Pipe, when he disappointed.

Maybe he got to thinking that the horse needed a prep last season, and he didn't give him one.

So maybe he should this season.
With the NHC not being a hcap then why not give him a prep.

          All guesswork of course.

He loves to have a really good one in the NHC.

Gerri C is lurking around the top of that market too.

If Chem.En runs well/wins on Sunday it probably solidifies Gordons thought on him being the one for the NHC and Gerri can be focused on the BANC.

          • I wouldn’t back CE for the NHC on soft ground with counterfeit and you’d imagine GC would go for the banc given soft ground ...basically soft ground could really shake up the make up of this race imo.

Question is would you back him on Sunday giving 3lbs to Ramalies on Soft. Would you have 7/4 Joint Favs or something?

why does CE concede 3lbs? CE is the more experienced Chaser but Ramalies jumped well on debut. 50/50 race for most or can one lay a claim in favour of the other , does the ground favour Ramalies sunday?

              • Is he running Chemical to finish behind Ramillies so that Mullins thinks he has the race in the bag and so runs GDM elsewhere joke.

Ramillies would prefer better ground too according to Willie ....ramillies will run coz needs to qualify ...other than that it’s anyone’s guess what will transpire ...personally I’d back amirite ...I think he is a good horse and would have beaten GDM or at least gone very close if he’d stood up lto.

If Ramillies is going NHC then he just needs to start the race and so may not be trying. Chemical may just be running for fitness so may not be trying.

It's definitely not a race to bet on !!

Is it not a case that he needs to complete to a certain extent, so it classes as a run?

So if he fell at the first fence it may not count. I’m sure that’s how it works for getting a mark, it’ll be down to the handicapper.

Someone else may be able to confirm Lobos.

I'd prefer CE to have a pop over hurdles as a fitness run, not a chase.

To get Qualified for NHC........not to get a handicap mark.
