  • Based on the entries for the NHC, below is a quick summary of those who currently are qualified, not currently qualified, and the stipulations each horse not qualified needs to fulfill before they can qualify. Hope its helpful and hopefully it formats correctly when I submit this post

Interesting to see Mr Adjudicator entered despite never having a chase run yet to his name. He and Chavez will require 2 runs between now and March (Chavez UR on his one chase run, unsure that qualifies as a chase run, perhaps it does?)

To date, 19 of the 37 entries are qualified. Of the 18 unqualified, 16 still need to place 1-4 over the 2 Mile 7.5F+ distance. 2 require just a second chase run to qualify (Bellatrixsa and Ramillies).

NOTE: To qualify, a horse needs to have run in one or more steeplechase events that season and run in at least two chases. The horses must also have finished in the first four places in a chase run over 2 miles, 7 and a half furlongs or more.

    • Out of total laziness and because I'm sure someone already has the info to hand - would anyone mind highlighting which horses in the NHC have already qualified?

      Cheers

          • Worth noting that Willie has 12 of the 37 entries. He rarely has more than 2 runners and often only one.

            • Thanks all.

As always - half the battle is surely working out the rides of Codd, Patrick & O'Connor?

              Chemical Energy - Jamie
              GdM/Captain Kangaroo - Patrick

              Who's snapping Derek up?

              • ….might be useful if ComplyOrDie can copy/paste PresentingPercy nifty table into post #1, where it can be updated as more qualify.

We weren't told that CK would be getting an entry so haven't really considered it.

Clearly, his current mark has him well below some of the others but Willie has been putting him in the big staying handicaps so it's probably forward thinking in case he runs well and gets a hike. Hoping for a run in the Thyestes a week on Thursday and see where we go from there.

                              • I absolutely love that Sir Gerhard entry for the BANC. That race is crying out for some class. I know he's more likely to stay over the midtrip but quite telling that he feels SG is better suited to the 3m trip than Appreciate It. That's the kinda Mullins bingo I can get behind.
