How has a quote from DJ saying he could go 2m5f or 3m led you to rule out 3m? Seems odd.

People have decided JDB is a Turners horse because he raced keenly on debut, which, after such a long time off, he was entitled to do.

If he switches off the way he did v KD over hurdles then he'll be a force to be reckoned with over both trips.

Doesn't jump well enough to be a factor in anything at Cheltenham on the evidence we've seen so far

I’d still very much debate that 3m at Cheltenham is up JDB street. That 3m race at Punchestown was at the end of the season where most of the main protagonists didn’t fire and he was a fresh horse. He still got beat easily by Klassical Dream too and the winning distance is only increasing at the end of the race.

I really don’t see that his breeding screams stayer to me either.

He may get 3m at a easier track against lesser opposition but I don’t think that the BANC would be the best race for him at Cheltenham. Make all and use his jumping like GDC last year in the Turners should be the way forward. The only thing that would make sense to me in the BANC is if the field is piss poor.

Thought he actually jumped very well today barring the last, when he was eased right up and looked to lose focus.

it was a nothing race though so his jumping may not hold up in the Arkle, but I thought his jumping was at its best today when he was running his fastest.

On a serious note, I’ve had the same (hopefully objective) stance on him for two seasons now. I’ve not got a penny on though for the exact reason we’re having the discussion

I’d like to see the mare put in a proper performance tomorrow and put her hat in the ring....not on anybody’s radar I appreciate and not even in the market but I’m hoping she’d get a mention or two after tomorrow’s race.

Well she certainly did that.
Shes a player wherever she runs imo.

Could be an awkward choice if she goes to Cheltenham.
One one hand she looks like a proper 3 miler, but Mares probably easier race .
Although having said that the Mares does have a solid fav.

Wait till late in the day see what likely going is makes sense to me.
