It gives Willie one less BANC hopeful doesn't it.
If it enhances the likelihood of JDB going BANC and give Gerri one less horse to worry about then those will be positives.
Lots of talk re Gerri and NHC. I really want him in the BANC but think the case NHC case has merit.
I know he's just won a Grade 1 and that he's unbeaten, so perhaps this sounds daft to say, but I just don't feel like I'm watching a top animal when I watch him.
I want to feel that feeling you get when you know you've seen something really talented, but I just don't get that with Gerri despite wanting to!
Gordon would be a far better judge than I and I think NHC comments post race are Gordons way of saying 'he's good, but he's not very very good'
Quite a lot of 'he wont jeopardise 66/1 betting slips' comments - fair point but connections have invested millions with Gordon and his number 1 priority will be rewarding them with a winner, which will make him far more money in the long term than whatever he was able to get on at 66/1!
Given how open the BANC is starting to look, I think there is genuine merit to GDM (BANC) + Gerri (NHC) @ 116/1
