Apparently didn’t get up and has left in the horse ambulance. Fingers crossed he makes it.

      • I won’t be watching that race back, was just horrible to see one breaking down, and awaiting news on TSL. I fear the worse.

          There's always one.
You got your prayer mat out ?
Absolute no need to try and guilt label everyone.

          That's my polite version.
Everyone else is free to tell you to get f**ked.
          I chose not too.

Am no way around the game long enough but that today really made me think, just horrible to watch. Turned it off and that will be it for the day.

Poor divil standing waiting for his fate to be delivered.

            • Three stripe life and unexpected depth both confirmed to have passed, horrible to see.

              • Ramillies in same ownership as GDM. Which one do they run in the BANC ?

Aye, criticism of a horses jumping that's (potentially) just lost his life wasn't a good look for me.

Discussing targets of other horses is absolutely fine like.

Just think can wait a bit, find out how horses are first.
No need to go into one.

Yep, but what can we do? It's not like they read the forum and anyone who follows this sport has already chosen to have if not a blind spot for this particular elephant in the room, then certainly an acceptance when faced with that or walking away from the sport. Sorry if that sounds heartless, but it's true isn't it? I found what happened with Unexpected Depth worse than some of the heavy falls you see where they never get back up. Seeing him stood up and looking relatively calm, but knowing what his fate will be, is heartbreaking. Can only be hoped that one day there is some enormous advance in what can be done for such injuries. The future of the sport will probably rest on it at some point, but that's another thread altogether...

Yep could see him in the background standing there when the others were still racing and thought the same thing. I know they're bred to race but still a sad sight to see.

Anyone like myself watching on a stream on a bookies site won't have known that

people need to chill out a little

                            • I understand it happens as part of the game but it still hasn't got any easier with fatalities. Proper puts me on a downer for the day. Has anyone been desensitised by it over time? Not sure I can.
