Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Surely he would have entered all four in both with the weather as it is. Maybe it's a case of DD in one and AI in the other?

Could well be. I can only see 3 x 2m Beginners Chases in Ireland before the end of the year. The two in question this weekend and one at Leopardstown on 27th Dec. Two of those 4 horses will have to run against each other surely, unless one is thrown straight into a 2m Novice or Graded Novices Chase.

As a slight aside, I wonder if the lack of entries for Sir Gerhard in these 2m Beginners Chases means he could get entered in the 2m5f Beginners Chase at Leopardstown on 28th Dec (the one won by GDC last year).

Possibly one for stupid questions thread rather than here but could Minella Cocooner go there as he didn't win his first novice chase or is Beginners literally first time out only?

Minella Cocooner was my first thought for that race and is eligible to run for the reason you mentioned. In the last couple of days I've wondered whether MC and Classic Getaway might be split over the two Grade 1s (Leopardstown 29th 3m novice chase and Limerick 26th 2m4f novice chase) to make space for SG in that aforementioned Beginners Chase on 28th Dec.

I'd expect to MC to run at Leopardstown regardless due to his preference for better ground which is more likely there than Limerick.

          • Worth noting that Jonbon unlikely to run again until the Kingmaker in February. According to Henderson today on ATR,

Baring in mind most of his Irish rivals will have ran once or twice by then.
Given his current price, It'd be daft to include Jonbon in any more bets before then.
Unless you think they'll all fall off a cliff.

Yeah J Mcgrath mentioned he may go straight to arkle.
Not sure that's best idea myself.
But don't care cos I've not backed him. yet.

Pretty sure we will see Jonbon again at Warwick as trainer said. Personally I would have no concerns with a 2 mile chaser from this yard. No one better.

Must be reasonably likely classic getaway takes on gerri colombe at limerick

CG seems to like the mud

Kilcruit seems to be the Mullins one attracting support for Limerick,10s into 9/4 but who knows with Willie

He's definitely THE forgotten horse this season.
