Kilcruit is not doing anything for me! If he’s goes fav for any race I’ll be looking elsewhere.

NH Chase - Gaillard Du Mesnill
Brown Advisory - Kilcruit and Appreciate It
Turners - Minella Cocooner and Sir Gerhard
All guess work obviously and all depending on fitness and form middle of March
Probs missed a couple as well, feel free to dismiss

I didn't watch Kilcruit first time out over fences as I was busy and once Journey With Me had been pulled it left the race of little interest to me, however, I actually didn't dislike that performance by Kilcruit.
I was expecting to watch a bit of a hit and miss jumping display, but I thought he was good enough over his fences.
He's still got plenty to prove off the back of a largely disappointing novice hurdle campaign, for me, but I wouldn't be downbeat on him if I had backed him, after the weekends performance.

Just to note, although a few will be happy it looks like Sir G is going over fences, I see it as a massive negative the fact it’s taken this long to decide.
Someone mentioned it the other day that possibly he hasn’t schooled the best which I’d concur with.

I’ve not backed him other than a couple RABS but I can’t take the last couple weeks as a positive.

Have I missed something? What's happened in the last two weeks re SG?

If they all make it (where I think they will be aimed at)
Arkle - El Fabiolo, Dysart, Flame Bearer
Turners - Minella Cocooner, Kilcruit
BANC - Appreciate It (can see him going any of the three tbh but will avoid Kilcruit), James Du Berlais, (Potentially GDM if injuries happen)
NHC - GDM, Whatdeawant
I think Sir Gerhard could end up over hurdles at this rate, Willie says he's not performing well atm, and that might be poor jumping at home which is why he hasn't committed yet to where to send him chasing. Also if he is having doubts over Vauban in the CH this year so he may want to send SG there as well

Willie's normal training schedule would have had SG and Vauban doing their final piece of serious work on Thursday. If that was only moderate he probably already had his doubts about declaring them for Sunday before he was interviewed at Clonmel later in the day but they would almost certainly have been keeping the option open while the 2 horses were monitored for the 24 hours before the declaration deadline. His comment that they were all intended runners until they weren't would be just that.
In the interview at Punchestown he seemed doubtful that either horse would be running for some time which suggests a bug or something physical. Whatever the reason, backing SG in a Festival novice chase is probably not a great move until he gets a chase entry.

‘I don’t think he’ll have any problem staying further, maybe even three miles’ - ATR Stable Tour
‘he'd have no issue going down the Arkle route, though he could be one for the Turners. It doesn't really matter to me whether he starts off at two miles or two and a half miles, we'll just wait for him and the right race to come along.’ - RP Stable Tour
So he could go any route atm.
With Dysart, Flame Bearer and El Fabiolo he’s only mentioned the Arkle and 2 miles
