Id rather he looks a star or, just looks not that good. A marginal win in semi impressive fashion will just leave more questions than answers which I really cant be arsed with

      Exciting times though.
If West Cork wins I might just give up on antepost betting

I get a feeling they probably won't want him to be winning it. I can see him being lined up for something like the Grand Annual.

I would think their priority today will be to try and get him to jump straight.

That would help, for sure I'm not sure how much control a jockey has though. If a horse is jumping out either to it's left or right then they'll do it regardless, otherwise these horses we've seen over the years that jump violently either way would have been rectified, but they haven't.

Again I’m guessing but intuitively I agree with you. If he jumps straight he will be going into my notebook today...otherwise right handed it is

              • Crystal Glory with a pleasing debut there beating a 138 rated horse by 20 lengths (receiving 10 pounds). Interested to see him up in grade next time.

                • I thought that was excellent. His jumping looked truly top notch. I thought Monmiral jumped okay, but Jonbon was gaining lengths at most fences.

                  • Nice debut that, couple of novicey moments, but travelled well and jumped neatly, Monmiral is a decent animal and he's coasted home so he's in Arkle contender territory for sure

                      • That was impressive. Was taking a length at most fences & broke Monmiral pretty far out. Now to wait for the crazy Arkle prices!

                        • I thought both Jonbon & Monmiral jumped well there. Jonbon the far superior animal though. I can't see Nicholls wanting to re-oppose Jonbon with Monmiral any time soon, so that'll be an easy cash out decision for him for the Arkle.

                          • Can't but be impressed. Cruising speed and glides over his fences.

Monmiral clearly in need of a trip and Harry barely bothered to ask for anything when he knew it was game over.

About 1% chance they meet again at Sandown I'd say.

Monmiral looks like he needs 2m4f

Thoroughly impressed by the speed and accuracy of jonbons jumping, he pinged the 5 down the back
