  • 14/1-16/1 seems fair

Thought he did it nicely and will appreciate an extra few furlongs

    • That was a pleasing enough debut over fences from Gerri, without maybe being spectacular, IMO.

I think we know Bronn isn't likely to be in the top 2 or 3 staying chasers for Willie, and he's only beat him a short distance, although I would say it was probably Gerri's toughest assignment to date and he's done the job, so can't be too harsh on him.

I'm sure he'll come on plenty for it too.

Thought his jumping improved no end when he was pushed into his fences and attacked them a bit more. He should take high rank amongst the Irish novices this year.
Came on to say the same thing. One I’ve got an affinity for and I don’t really know why! Here’s hoping the ground stays soft enough for him in places and he can head to Cheltenham this year.

He hasn’t beaten useless types, either. Thought Bronn travelled into it pretty well, too.

Paddy going 7s is mental as ever, though. He was still 33/1 for the BANC in a few places a week to two ago, with 25/1 still about last night!

….it was 12-1 this morning, so they have cut it.

Bronn jumped a bit like a novice but run ok, doing his best work at the end & still 40-1 BANC.

          • Well that was a lovely chase debut from Gerri wasn't it. Jumped and travelled well, put the race to bed against some decent opposition. He'll devour 3m IMO and I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets on in deeper water.

                  • ….most of Geri BANC 14-1 going, looks like Lads are the only ones now.

                    • Lovely starting point he really warmed to his jumping when Jack asked him a few questions. He looks very economical over his obstacles which is really what you want in a staying chaser.

If its posted in your diary then its neither despicable or after timing. If it isn't, then it's both

I mean that was more a tongue in cheek comment, but I can confirm I posted it in my diary on the 21st of October. I think the information and good case made by other members was readily available as well so hopefully a fair few of us are on

                              • ….also interested in Mullins’ comments re Bronn and Tenzing.

Bronn made a hash of the first, left his hind legs in the third and ran well to finish 2nd. Mullins will have many to choose from but I have always got the impression he likes Bronn & surprised that 40-1 BANC remains. Tenzing finished like a train, has won a 3m hurdle, be interesting if he steps up next time to put himself in NHC picture.
