    • I get the feeling Bet365 dangled that 13/2 on Jonbon for a bit too long.

Since Friday they've gone 13/2 > 5/1 > 9/2 and now today cut him to 4/1 for the Arkle

It would have to be a huge leap of faith, surely?

Jonbon was priced up 4/1 at the start of the Supreme only 6 months back, whilst JPR One was the 150/1 complete outsider.

It’s a big call to suggest JPR One will challenge Jonbon’s wing mirrors this season over a fence, based on all known evidence thus far?

          Surely?

          • Don't know whether he's been mentioned but Pentland Hills goes chasing this year following a victory on the flat last Friday after a long layoff.

              • Interesting comments on Jonbon at 29:57 - the Let's Talk Racing lads suggest talk from Nicky's yard that Jonbon has jumped poorly at home.

Didn't at all haha. Was a general comment about how horses could look big and muscly (looking great) but that they could also jump poorly. Not referring to Jonbon's jumping

                  • Gordon re his Tipperary Novice chase entries on Sunday......

“Ash Tree Meadow had a good summer, winning three on the bounce, and we were delighted with him in the Galway Plate. I don’t think the form of that race was done any harm last week at Listowel so he’s a nice novice hopefully.

“Call Me Lyreen has come out of his fall at Listowel fine and he looked like he was going to run a nice race so we’ll see how he is over the next couple of days and make a plan then.”

                    • Abacadabras also entered over Hurdles Sunday.....

Abacadabras is a classy horse,” said Elliott. “Sunday looked like a good starting point for him. He hasn’t run since Christmas so I’m sure he’d come on for it but he has been in a bit earlier than the other winter horses, so he’ll take his chance and see how we get on.
“He has the option to go chasing this season so we’ll see how Sunday goes.

“He’s a Grade One horse on his day and he’s only eight, so I’d be hoping we can have a bit of fun with him this season.”

                      • BANBRIDGE declared for a Beginners Chase over 2m4f at Gowran Park on Saturday. Always worth keeping an eye on festival winners for the following year (we all know the stats).

Perhaps this lad's ceiling is handicaps, but in the ownership of Ronnie Bartlett...worth a 25/1 dart for the NHC? Can't really seem him having the class for the Brown Advisory or Turners, and the owner loves a runner in the NHC as we all know. Clearly you're taking a big chance on stamina and maybe 25/1 is a little skinny.

Don't think he's been mentioned on this thread yet (apologies if so)...

Came here to say this. Performance tomorrow could be anything but I'll take a chance on him at 25/1.

                          • You'll not see many more better chase debuts than that of Banbridge just now.. absolutely foot perfect and put away a decent field with ease.

20s still available for the NHC, a race ronnie loves

                            • Reminded me very much of stattlers debut over fences last year
hopefully he will go a similar route

Looked good indeed. The only issue could be jockey booking which pretty much decides the NHC given the huge disparity in the quality.
