Seeing all these new threads makes me all warm inside and excited that the national hunt season returning is imminent. With that in mind, I am going to throw a nice mare for anyone interested.

Haute Estime I am told will be chasing this season and connections hoping to get her out chasing in the Autumn. Lucinda Russell trained and finished third (SP 100/1) in the same race Ahoy Senor won at Aintree. I'm not saying she's the next Ahoy Senor but there's definitely scope for her to have a crack at doing as much.

I wonder if she will be campaigned with the Ultima in mind?

20/1 TWAR is very reasonable. I think she will improve going chasing.

I was thinking Corach Rambler may go back to the race again for the same trainer, given he's only up 7lbs, and that can be worked on too.

He's heading to the Hennessy so that could completely blow his mark if he runs well.

Isn't Ahoy Senor heading there too?

It's in their thoughts. He did win easily around Newbury last season so the track suits. I'd love him to go there. Really fancy him for the GC. Scudamore has been involved with some special horses over the years and he thinks he's the best of them.

Pretty sure Willie said both he and Minella Cocooner go novice chasing this season

Yeah, you are correct, he did say they both go chasing.

I love the fact The Nice Guy is holding up the rest of the BANC market, for winning a much depleted Albert Bartlett.

Granted, he could still be the real deal, I'm not foolish enough to say he couldn't be, but there are quite a few horses that I feel are at plenty backable prices because of him being found in the market where he is.

Was such a shame what happened to Ginto, personally i think the nice guy would have done well to have gotten anywhere near him but sadly we will never know.

I’ll be taking him on at the current price too. I respect he’s unbeaten and did the Cheltenham, Punchestown double but 4-5/1 at the big firms is dreadful.

I’ll be starting off with Gerri and then working out some other angles once the stable tours start to come out.

Yeah, not just Ginto, as sad as it was, but Hillcrest ran no race, not sure why, as he's acted around Cheltenham before over shorter trips, so will put that down as an off day for now. He's a big unit, so may have just got taken off his feet over hurdles.

Blazing Khal was fav for the Bartlett for a long while and didn't make the festival. Journey With Me is by Mahler, so really should have been in the Bartlett too (as many on here said at the time), but he's destined to make a chaser, and wasn't totally disgraced in the Ballymore before falling.

There are plenty behind The Nice Guy in the market at 4 to 6 times his price that I think could all improve massively for a fence.

Being by Fame And Glory also puts me off a little, going over fences. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up staying or going back over hurdles at some point.
