Gelino is a lazy dosser. Those two races have been farces and he's not really learning anything on the job.
Warwick next and then I'd expect maybe the Reynoldstown. I'd see him as more of a Hennessy horse for next year than anything for the Spring at this stage.
You'd have to take IAM out of that race though surely? Jumping left has cost him the race but at Cheltenham and with the rail that will be helped, and it was first time out vs race fit rivals.
Big fan of MC but his jumping has been fine and he's not winning as I would expect, certainly needs a step up but I'm not running to back him after that despite the inevitable cuts that will come.
Gordon Elliott on Minella Crooner @Fairyhouse
: “He’s a grand horse. We’ll probably head for Leopardstown over three miles and I’d imagine the further he goes the better he will be. He could be an ideal horse for a National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham because he doesn’t do a stroke."
I'd expect them both to show up at the festival, excluding injuries obviously. If they see Crooner as a gold cup horse way down the line they'd want to get some experience into him around there, I Am Maximus has done most of his racing around there performing well enough on each occasion, I'm sure they could slot him into a handicap after working a mark. When you look through Gordon's horses that ran in the Irish last year most of them turned up at Cheltenham, don't see anything being different this year.
Crooner just seems to like company, he made the ground up after jumping the last really quickly and as soon as he went by a head, he just stopped again. I can see why they applied cheek pieces, might well be blinkers next time out lol.

Think excluding injury we can just about map out Crooners program for the rest of the season then, Leopardstown, Cheltenham and Fairyhouse and then out to grass.

If he does go there, which I doubt, Gordon could be mob handed in the race. IMO he'll be saved for the Irish National.

It was a step up on his debut and his jumping was much improved. He's not flashy but can see him improving massively when they push him out in trip.
GE could easily run 3 or 4 in the NH Chase, although a couple will probably be kept back for the Irish National.
Nice performance from Jonbon, you'd expect that
WIll want to re-watch that again, liked how he went on from the last, but.... again, not to get too excited, the field was weak today
Enjoying today's racing... feels like the season has just kicked off.
FV up next, tomorrows graded races tomorrow in ireland, bring it on
