Just re-watched Jonbon vs El Fabiolo at Aintree, and although I do have El Fabiolo covered at nice prices I do think Jonbon will have him covered again.
Admittedly El Fabiolo made a mistake at the last, but the run in was plenty long enough to get back up but if anything Jonbon was the one to get his head down and battle well, and coupled with the fact El Fabiolo went there a fresher horse than Jonbon, the latter could well have been 'over the top' by that point of the season, but his attitude was admirable in victory.
I think Willie will need a better horse than El Fabiolo to beat Jonbon, although this is still a real possibility, as he has an abundance of ammo at his disposal.
Obviously there are more than just Willie and Nicky horses in the market and it may be that something completely left field tops them all, but this was more a comparison between two horses that have already met over hurdles.

Hard to have a strong opinion either way at this stage for me
Jonbon is one I do intend to get onside at some point simply because nicky will campaign him in his usual Conservative manner, he will very likely go there unbeaten if he takes well to fences and be shorter than 3/1 on the day

I just believe it was more a case of Jonbon being near to 'over the top' that day for the season he had had, that made it as close as it was. Time, will of course, tell, if this was the case or not. 13/2 or 8/1 top prices for the pair, I know which I prefer at this stage.
