Its being so overlooked I've been topping up on this horse. I know it hasn't jumped a fence yet but it had a decent hurdle campaign and it even gave weight to Bambrige last season at Cheltenham and was running on behind and just looked like it needed a step up in trip. I guarantee once it races at Navan and wins (if it does) 25/1 is just going to disappear.
I added him at that price with a free bet but I wouldn't go any further than that at this stage. Gordon has made it clear Chemical Energy is NHC bound and he'd be unlikely to have more than two runners. I believe he also mentioned the race for Minella Crooner too. Long season tho so he could end up here. PP and BF go 12/1 which is usually a good sign and he's 25's elsewhere. I agree re the run at Cheltenham behind Banbridge - cannot overlook the value of a Cheltenham run and a good one at that with a view to weighing up what will and wont be a viable NHC candidate and winner.

I was a big fan of Hollow Games last season and I think he was one of my first ante post bets. Objectively speaking though, for horse that didn’t quite make it at the top level and placed off 143 at the festival, 25/1 should be the minimum we expect.

      • Fil D'Or a NR today, so suspect that chase entry will come soon enough.

I can see Hollow Games being one if not Gordon's main hope in the 'RSA' this year, he really rates him and has already named 3 other horses for the NHC

I think hollow games will be a handicap plot with Gerri colombe, minella crooner and three stripe life potential banc horses

If Hollow Games is his main staying novice chaser this year, he's in for a long old season, he has tonnes to find.

Wonder how Robcour will split Journey With Me and Gerri this year.

Probably both be aimed at the banc and reassess nearer the time. Injuries, any jumping issues, form etc one of them will probably slip out of the equation before March anyway so a decision might not even be needed.

Gordon doen't speak as highly of Gerri in any of his comments compared to Hollow Games to me. Plus he says Gerri need really soft ground which would not be great for him at spring festivals.

Minella Crooner Gordon has name checked the NHC as the most likely and TSL could go anywhere from Arkle to 'RSA'. In the At the Races Stable tour he mentioned 2m and 2.5 miles as most likely

He does have to improve but he has always been seen more as a chaser than a hurdler and Gordon has said he believes he will be a much better chaser

                        JWM - 'RSA'
Gentlemansgame - 'RSA' if he makes it there and Mouse isn't scared to send him across
Gerri - Anyone's guess. But most likely wont go there unless it is really soft ground.
                        Grand Jury - Handicap

Can’t take the ground as being gd/soft as a given look at the weds at this year’s Cheltenham would have been right up gerri’s street! Gordon’s name checked everything including the stables cat for the NHC he won’t run them all there, the banc looks wide open and I’d expect a larger than average field there unless a superstar emerges.

Nope I agree you can't but in general the ground is more than likely going to be Good/Soft. Is most years and last year we had a freak Wednesday

                            • Sounds like they may keep Fil Dor to Hurdles.....

Logan added: "We had thought about going chasing with Fil Dor, but he did a nice bit of work lately and has gotten strong. We might try him in a hurdle, and if not we can decide to go on chasing with him."

Gordon has just confirmed he will go chasing unless he does something great over hurdles when he is next out
