Anyway, I watched the two races back; AB and Punchestown. I recall being more impressed with Minella Cocooner than The Nice Guy at Punchestown and recalled MC seeming to stay on better than TNG. But on reflection, the way TNG kept MC at a lengths disadvantage after he came back at him slightly was very impressive. Went in to the rewatch expecting to be convinced MC was the bet. But actually, I'm siding with TNG more than ever. The one thing in MC's favour is that TNG was making up ground at his hurdles - he looked to have an excellent technique. Maybe that advantage will be reduced, or reversed over fences.

Its a difficult one to judge and i agree with your comments above apart from the fact i just favour MC over tng, the breeding , flemensfirth out of an old vic mare, is big positive for me and i also thought tng looked a proper hurdler whilst mc was a chaser jumping hurdles imo. Mc is also a year younger and has a little more experience than tng. They may even clash in the flogas yet too.

I’d say little to no chance they’ll add him back and probably cash out has gone for good unless it looks like he may turn up in the NHC.

I might be looking at this cynically but the RP tour has been out a few days and the bookies held their price rather than push out (with full cash out on Paddys) despite Gordon quoting a 3 mile spring handicap as the seasons aim. I say I'm being cynical because I get the feeling there's a little distrust on all parts when it comes to these quotes, it's certainly given people a few days window to consider the new evidence and if it was perhaps time to bail out.

Agree Lbur re ATM. People could/should have cashed out after his last run and then waited until his Dec this week before potentially backing again.

I meant cash out in general these days. Bookies are becoming more and more savvy.

To be fair lads cash out is an absolute gift, people who can do so have had such a massive gift. If you can do it fair play but reading a number posts over the years does feel like it allows people to be a bit scattergun..... im only jealous i suppose !!!! Good luck to you if youve got it

My view is that it isn’t a gift. It’s a part of the service they are ‘selling’. It’s the reason why I bet with 365 and PP 95% of the time.

That being said, I’ve no problem with most of the ‘grey outs’.

The Ash Tree Meadow one is a little unfair though. Why not just increase his odds like PP did? He’s not got no chance of running or winning. Make him 100/1 and his cash out would be 0.2pt or less anyway.

I had no cash out option with ATM so I'm stuck with my 2pts. It's not a done deal by any means that he'll not end up in the NHC. Gordon may not like his handicap mark or plans for his other NHC hopes might go astray. He's already got loads of experience so Gordon could put him away now, find him a 3m race in the spring and pop him round to qualify and enter him in the NHC should he want to. Anything can happen. We are only in October after all.
