Anyone got any insights or strong thoughts. Gerri Colombe looks to be the quality one out of them, imagine he'll step up again over 3 miles. Question marks though whether he'll run here which puts me off, and whether they'll run him on anything better than soft
The Real Whacker, backed at bigger price and at the time, make a good case for him but... gut is saying he may lack the quality to win this.
To me, the race looks a mess
I’ve latched on to Ballygriffin Cottage. I’ve not seen a better display of jumping from any of the candidates than his run at Haydock. He’s entered up at Lingfield this week, which is what they done last year before he ran in the AB at the festival.
He does seem to enjoy soft ground, so not sure about better ground for him.
Decent price still imo.

I think I'm the only one who likes the race at the moment. I've lost big wins on the nice guy and minella cocooner but still have GDM, GMG, GC and JDB covered to really nice wins. At the prices, I'm not convinced there's an angle now but Ballygriffin as mentioned above would be a good WTAF this weekend (I'll probably save on him). I can't warm to whacker but may have to have a saver on the day.
I think it's a "mess" at the moment because the only graded race of real consequence to it in Ireland was won by the "wrong" horse in gdm? For what it's worth though, GMG is my number one ATM. Assuming he goes to DRF, he won't have qualified for nh chase I don't think so I'm not worried about that route for him. It's just one of those races where you needed to get involved pre-beginners chase really.
Ps - given my respective positions on English/Irish horses, you definitely want to back the English ones as I'm guaranteed to have messed up there!
