  • With Appreciate It shortening for the turners, it was his most likely option with being a 9yo

    still doesn’t beat JDB

      • There's no way the reason Mullins would run AI in the Turners is because of his age...

For all I love a trend.

        • Arkle: Dysart Dynamo, El Fabiolo
          Turners: Appreciate It, Saint Roi
Banc: James Du Berlais, Classic Getaway, Ha D'or

My guess at where they end up at this stage - fully expecting to be wrong across the board knowing WPM!

                • Bet 365 have cut James Du Berlais into 7/1 for the BANC, anything been said or balancing the book on the back of folk not seeing entries for Classic Getaway and Ramillies at the DRF?

Maybe off the back of the news SG back in full training. Another Turners option with JDB stepping up. Who knows..

Great post, very helpful, thank you.

Minor correction is first four 2m7f or more, not 3 miles 7f or more. Thats how I read it.

I watched the sir Gerhard comments from ruby. Hmmm I didn't get the impression he was ready or will be ready for the festival. I think in reality Willie and ruby want him in the Churdle but with vauban, state man, Sharjah already there, and with con hill looking unbeatable, what's the point?

So the alternative was to send him chasing late on, but against what they want to do. I personally, won't be backing sir Gerhard for anything.

Strange how people perceive comments - I personally thought it sounded like he was almost ready to run and that it would be in a beginners.

Ruby pretty much said its pointless taking on Con Hill so going chasing is the obvious call.

Let him go and do a Cilaos Emery (but actually make the fez)

Was well supported the last day, obvs didn't turn up(jockey mentions lost confidence very early). Been as big as 95-110 on the exchange(admittedly for buttons) and given this race is talked up as a 2/3 horse race rife for something to still emerge and wouldn't fancy laying silly prices on something with her potential profile.

I got the impression Ruby and Willie would keep him over hurdles but they’ve agreed with Cheveley Park connections to go novice chasing. SG is already 8 years old, so I get the impression it’s now or never for novice chasing.
