I remember Vroum Vroum Mag having 8 festival entries a week before racing...

I agree, I did say it's nothing to get too excited about but I don't think it means literally nothing. For novices, I always think there's two categories. There's your 2-2.5 mile horses, then 2.5-3m+ horses. The double entry tells me Willie probably sees him in the first category currently, similar to Sir Gerhard and Appreciate It, if he was only in the 2m5f race then you'd think he's probably in the second category, such as a Gaillard Du Mesnil/Monkfish. If it meant literally nothing then the likes of the GDM/Monkfish would have been entered in the Irish Arkle too, GDM obviously isn't and I'm pretty sure Monkfish wasn't. But it's still Willie Mullins, he changes his mind frequently, but for now I see it as a small positive.

I'd be surprised if any of Willies previous RSA/BANC runners were entered in the Irish Arkle in the past, put it that way. Does make me think that we need to have these entries archived somewhere though, would be very useful to look back on, because there absolutely is a chance my previous sentence is bollocks, and I could easily be proven wrong.

Mullins left Aramon in the Arkle until final decs despite him being fav (until Sant Roi appeared from the clouds) for the County and having never jumped a fence.
Personally I think referring back to entries would only add confusion, until you unearth a strong trend of course...

Not going to unearth a trend if we don't even bother looking I suppose... there could be a trend that he never enters his BANC horse in the Irish Arkle?!

In relation to Ramillies:

Would people be worried that Ramilies hadn’t even been given an entry in the Flogas as Willie just enters any horse that’s fit! Or on the other hand is it pretty much him being primed for the NHC if he gets a racing in over 3m.

To me one thing I can say is it is highly unlikely that he will race in the BANC with the lack of entry in the Flogas.

Which could have big implications on GDM as I can’t see them both in the NHC

Minella Crooner didn't take up the entry at Warwick this Saturday, small field race over a qualifying distance for the NHC. If he runs Sunday at Punchestown he still won't be qualified. Yes, he could still run in a suitable race but a stone bruise, or the like, could mean him missing out.

Not sure if this has any implications but you'd have thought the Warwick race would have been a great chance to get him qualified if that was the master plan.

My thoughts as well. I’ve cashed my NHC for him, and will wait for an entry over longer. If it comes, I’ll re back him, but I have to say the NHC is looking like a very small field again this year unless something else qualifies over the next few weeks. The Naas race at the end of the month is one I’ll keep an eye on - Stattler qualified there last year.

They've also cut him to 5s for the turners and are joint best price for him in the arkle
