Haut en couleurs actually ran in the irish arkle last year after just one novice chase win, so its possible that if sir g starts off at the end of this month he might turn out again quickly at the drf, depending on whether he has an easy win on his first start, and whether they want to run him twice in a short space of time after being injured.

Could go in one of the 3m novice chases at Navan and Naas in the next month or so, where the ground might be softer. These are the races typically used to qualify horses for the NHC, although I think his most likely target is the RSA/Browns.
